Enamel time

Tomorrow my day at the museum is going to be all about learning the ins and outs of the kiln. I have prepared a large brooch to be enameled. All kilns behave a little differently, so I am hoping that this kiln and I will get along. Enameling is a funny process- you can do the exact same thing twice and get different results. When I am trying to create an even, perfect surface, this variation in results can be frustrating. Fortunately, I am no longer surprised when things go awry.
We’ll see how it goes! Come watch.
