My goblet, jewelry, and journal & the start of the week.

This day is great. On Monday we went on an unexpected tour at Pentagram with our tour guide, Joe, a graphic designer. He talked about some of the projects they did & who they collaborated with. It was interesting to hear about how a graphic designer works with different groups of people with lots of different jobs to come up with a design. For example, they worked with an engineer to design a logo for an airplane. I also liked how he talked of being laid back in the interviews & how he got the job by chance. We also talked about the work they did for MAD.

Last week we made clay goblets and tomorrow we glaze them. We also made jewelry. It was hard to cut them out and it was time consuming. It was bad but it was a wonderful experience. Tomorrow  we will also start working on our exhibitions. I am a bit nervous about the cell phone tour since after I wrote it I didn’t look at it or really practice.

We also came up for the weirdest name for the exhibition. It was called BUJMCCCA, after the initials of our firsts names from all the Arts life interns. We are having it on Thursday August 26th from 6-8 pm in the MAD museum in 2 Columbus Circle. Everyone is invited!
