On the making

Last week was a long journey making our goblets and jewelry’s. We started to work, starting Monday through Thursday from 11 to 5pm. First we put on some old clothing that we brought from home and started making and creating our goblets. We made our goblets with clay. My inspiration for my goblet comes from my interest in art and my desire to pursue a career as an artist. I decided to create my goblet as a paint pallet with paint and a paint brush made to hold up the cup.

After that cool and awesome experience of having to create my own goblet we went to our jewelery workshop and started creating jewelery with flat metals and metal strings of all sizes. Also I used other type of materials like those color strings that people use to make friendship bracelet to make a long string for my necklace. Its fantastic how we got to feel the process of how people make jewelery. For some people it was taking a lot of time making their jewelery because they had more details in their piece.  We only had 2 hour each day for 4 days to make our visions come to live. It was a really great experience that I enjoyed doing. Soon we are going to have an exhibition so people and family could come and see our work.
