Pinafore on View

I’m happy to announce that the first dress of my Pinafore Army is finally complete and on view at the MAD Open Studios. This is a beautiful pinafore dress made of over 20 lbs. of iridescent yellow dichromate coated screws imbedded in a sewn nylon support.
Please take notice of the sash bow – visible from inside the studios – it is actually tied not a clip-on!
I am grateful to the Education staff, friends, fans and everyone who supported me during the design and creation of the pinafore, from the weekly progress of bodice, ruffles, sash, waistband, to the securing of a traditional dress form in a 3 month infant size in which to display the sculpture.
I now turn to a bit of jewelry design before I start the next pinafores in the army, already designed and ready for production.
